Hello, Friends!

I’m so glad you’re here! I’m Kari Charine, a photographer lucky enough to call the breathtaking Matanuska-Susitna Valley home. Originally from the small mountain town of Woodland Park, Colorado, I’ve always been drawn to the beauty of the great outdoors—but my true passion has always been art.

While studying K-12 Art Education in college, I fell in love with the Fine Arts Studio world, participating in local shows and exploring different creative mediums. That journey led me to photography, where I became captivated by the timeless techniques of film before embracing the limitless possibilities of digital art.

Beyond photography, I have six years of event planning experience, which gives me an eye for detail and a deep appreciation for the moments that make life special. I also have the privilege of teaching in the local school district, sharing my love for art with the next generation of creatives.

After more than a decade of learning, growing, and refining my craft, I’ve finally achieved my lifelong dream—running my own creative business, K. Charine Photography LLC. Whether I’m capturing love stories, milestone moments, or the natural beauty around us, I strive to turn fleeting moments into lasting works of art.

I’d love to create something beautiful with you! Let’s connect.

I also have a deep passion for sports photography, which began back in high school when I was the photographer for our yearbook and school newspaper. Capturing the intensity, emotion, and split-second action of the game sparked something in me that never faded. There’s something special about freezing those dynamic moments—whether it’s the determination in an athlete’s eyes or the exhilaration of a last-second victory. That love for sports photography has stayed with me, and I still find so much joy in documenting the energy and excitement of athletic events.
